PROJECT STATEMENT
Architectural photography is something I've always had a passion for. Nothing makes me feel so insignificantly small like a towering sky scraper. Our blue skies are filled with booming man made structures. Just hundreds of tons of concrete, glass and metals standing tall over you. We are constantly designing and creating new buildings but we are never really thinking about how if or when these things will come down. From iconic buildings in the Seattle area to couple buildings that few ever really look at, this mini series was inspired by Matthieu Venot. An urban photographer with a killer eye for architecture. He is well known for his vibrant one color skies and the contrasting usually repetitive architectural detail that consumes part the shot. His creations are the kind of minimalist architectural artwork we all need in our lives.
