Interior Architecture

Originally from Bolivia, I grew up with a cross-cultural experience that has molded my identity and beliefs. What captivated me into the world of interior architecture is the way that design can sculpt human interactions through space and materiality. I truly believe an individual's identity is often linked to the spaces they interact with, making it a designers' responsibility to design spaces with intent and an understanding of their users needs. Walls can bring communities together, or they can tear them apart. Design influences people's views, their values, their humor, their hopes, their worries and fears. I believe it is important to design with purpose, and with an understanding of the way the outcome will affect people.

Coming into this field with a mixed cultural upbringing has provided me with the tools necessary to thrive in a collaborative environment. The work culture can have many perks but when it comes down to it, it's really the people that surround you that help you flourish and grow as a designer. Firms that inspire me are ones filled with creative collaboration, variety in perspective, and authentic people.
