PROJECT STATEMENT
"Once I start a project I get quite obsessive over it. I'll spend hours and hours trying to get all the details into an area, and I'll always feel like its never really good enough. I'll begin with the outline and pick my favorite detail. Then I'll just start filling the image with charcoal and erasing away at the highlights. Then I start filling the black over and over, it never really feels black enough. My favorite tools are my hands. Nothing seems to rub or smudge as good as my finger tips. I know they always say not to let the oils of your finger tips touch the canvas, but in a way it's like I'm putting a part of me into the drawing. I don't particularly like to have my art work in my home because it almost haunts me. The work never really feels finished so I might be tempted to take it down and re do some parts."
